A comprehensive childcare initiative under the Rajiv Gandhi National Crèche Scheme providing nutrition, education, and care for children of working mothers in coastal areas.
SNEHA runs 5 crèches under the Rajiv Gandhi National Crèche Scheme for the children of working mothers, for 3 years. The crèches were at coastal areas of Vadakara and Koyilandy Municipality. 2 were at Vadakara and 3 at Koyilandy.
The coastal areas are under the grip of poverty, diseases and unhygienic conditions. In such a situation the Crèches play a vital role in the growth and development of coastal children.
Each crèche is having 25 children and 2 workers. The crèches provide nutrition and preprimary education to the children. Besides that health checkup are available from the nearby health centers. Working mothers can keep their children safely there. Variety of dishes and learning by play way method attracts the children and parents.
